Hip-Hop is defined by four key elements MCing/Rapping /Djing/scratching break dancing and graffiti.Others are sampling  and beatboxing.
 The word hip hop was created by Keith Cowboy(on the LEFT) who was teasing his friend who just joined the army by signing the word hip hop in the same rhythm as a army cadence. He begin to add this chat  during his shows and it was pick up by some of the originators of hip hop Sugar hill gang and many others.






  The culture was form doing the 1970's during block club parties in New York City. DJ's would isolated the percussion breaks of their favorite song. Since the breaks were short Dj Kool Herc(on the right) began using two turntables to make the beat longer. Many tricks were perform with two turntables such as scratching and beat mixing which create space for the rapper.
